Super nice place, food was good, but the whistle was missing

My wife and I went to eat here on the recommendation of our accommodation. Despite the beautiful view, we were absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed. The staff was very rude, you could say outrageous. In addition, no corona distance regulations were followed here (see picture). This is definitely not a 1.5 m distance from table to table. Hand disinfectant at the entrance was also not available. The food wasn't really good, the schnitzel was tough and overpriced. The location is beautiful, as is the beer garden, and there are plenty of parking spaces.

Doesn't go well. Room from the 1960s, kitchen in good condition, nice, great location right on the lake but the room is rustic style and should definitely be brought up to the latest standards!

Beautiful ambience, very nice staff and very courteous owner. Overnight and parking facilities are available. Perfect location. Excellent food and fair prices.

Staff is very friendly, rooms clean, comfortable, I can only recommend it. Quiet and pleasant location, beautiful view. Food is very, very tasty. We went with a dog, he's happy too :)

I had come from a hike and was very sweaty due to the heat - the waitress didn't seem to think this was that great, but served me anyway. What I didn't like was the way bathing guests were treated with the hint that they weren't a beach bar after all.

We are currently spending our vacation at the Alpengasthof Madlbauer. We are completely satisfied, nice service, good food and a wonderful landscape. The design of the rooms is really Bavarian. We would love to come back, with best regards Christa Berendt from Güstrow

If it would give 0 stars I would give -1 the dark-haired waitress was so unfriendly exposed me and my companions publicly in front of all guests and put words into their mouths that are not family-friendly, so that we immediately decided to leave and also will not eat there in the future. Despite everything, the boss is nice and so are the other waitresses, despite everything we won't spend a penny there anymore.

A very unfriendly waitress pointed out to us that we were required to wear a mask, even though we were standing right at the table to take a seat. Even the hint that you would sit down immediately did not lead to her abandoning her unfriendly and rather aggressive manner ... We left the restaurant directly without taking a seat

Just an amazing region and an amazing friendly staff in there. Gorgeous breakfast. Rooms could be cleaned more precisely. Worth the money you spend.

Picturesque located on the Thumsee. Old inn with restaurant and guest room. Very nice Bavarian ambience. Friendly staff. Rooms are functional. Dogs (big ones too) are welcome there.

Very nice terrace overlooking the Thumsee. Ice cream was okay, but unfortunately very expensive. A look at the menu shows that the prices here are generally quite high compared to other very good restaurants in the area.

I can not confirm the negative reviews. The staff is friendly, we received the card immediately. The drinks followed promptly. The food came after a reasonable waiting time of about 15 minutes. The food was well prepared and very tasty. The chef in the kitchen prepares each salad fresh (the kitchen can be seen through an open hatch). We were there three times and each time very satisfied. The restaurant was always well attended.
